Tagliatelle with Clams

This pasta recipe with clams is easy to prepare and very delicious

Tagliatelle with Clams

Ingredients:
1 pound dry tagliatelle pasta
5 tablespoons olive oil
4 garlic cloves, slivered
1 green chili, chopped
3 medium tomatoes, diced
1 1/2 pound clams, scrubbed and rinsed well
2 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
salt and pepper to taste


Directions:

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.

  2. Heat the olive oil in a deep saute pan. Add the garlic and saute for 2 minutes. Add the tomatoes, chili and clams. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook, stirring periodically, for about 7 minutes or until the clams are opened, about 7 minutes. Discard any that have not opened.

  3. Add the drained tagliatelle to the pan and toss with the sauce. Sprinkle with parsley.
