| New England Clam Chowder II A variation of New England clam chowder recipe Ingredients: 2 cans clams (with liquid) 1/4 pound bacon, diced 1 large onion, sliced 2 large potatoes, diced 1 cup milk 2 tablespoons butter 1/4 tablespoon dried thyme Salt and pepper to taste Parsley
Directions: - Fry bacon until crisp. Add onion and saute until tender.
- Add potatoes and some water. Cook until potatoes are tender.
- Add clams and liquid, butter, milk and thyme to potato mixture. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat to serve temperature, but do not boil. Garnish with parsley and serve.
