A variation of clam chowder recipe
Ingredients:
2 small cans minced clams
1 cup onions, chopped
1 cup celery, finely diced
1 carrot, diced
3 cups potatoes, diced
3/4 cup margarine, melted
3/4 cup flour
1 qt. half and half
1 1/2 tablespoon salt
1/2 tablespoon sugar
Dash of pepper
Directions:
- Drain juice from clams and pour liquid into pan with vegetables. Add enough water to just cover vegetables. Cook until
tender.
- Meanwhile, in a blender blend flour, half and half, salt, sugar and pepper. Add melted margarine.
- Pour into vegetable mixture. Add clams, stir and heat. Taste with salt.
- Serve with French bread or crackers.
