| Fish Chowder Recipe
Ingredients: 3 large potatoes, cubed 1 large onion, chopped 3 tablespoons oil 1 (16 ounces) can tomatoes, squeezed 1/2 green pepper, diced 3 large stems celery, cut in 1/2 inch pieces 2 tablespoons lemon juice 1 or 2 cloves garlic, pressed or chopped 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 2 pounds cod, haddock or flounder, cubed 2 teaspoons salt 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes 1 tablespoon sugar 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Directions: - Cook potatoes, drain and save water. Set aside.
- Saute onions in oil until clear. Add tomatoes, green pepper, celery, lemon juice, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, red pepper flakes, sugar and black pepper. Simmer until celery is almost tender
- The above can be prepared ahead. 1/2 hour before serving, heat the tomato mixture, add the potatoes. Bring to a slow boil; add fish, stir to mix and simmer until fish is done. Do not overstir. Serve immediately.
