In this recipe mushrooms are stuffed with crab meat. Simply delicious - try it.
Ingredients:
24 large fresh mushrooms, stems removed
2 tablespoons butter
4 green onions, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
2 tablespoons dry bread crumbs
4 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
2 cups crabmeat
freshly grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Rinse the mushrooms, remove stems and finely choppe them. Steam mushroom caps for 5 minutes. Set aside.
- In a saucepan, heat butter, add chopped mushrooms stems, green onions and garlic. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until the liquid
is almost all evaporated. Add salt, Cayenne pepper, bread crumbs, whipping cream and crab meat mixing all together.
- Fill the mushroom caps with the mixture and top each with Parmesan cheese. Bake for 10-12 minutes at 180ºC, until lightly brown.
