Clam Savory

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
1 small onion, finely chopped
1/2 green pepper, seeded and minced
1 can (6.5 oz) chopped clams, drained
1 cup grated Swiss cheese
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon sherry
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
4 slice hot buttered toast

Directions:

  1. Melt butter in frying pan. Add onion and green pepper; saute for 3minutes.

  2. Add clams, cheese, Worcestershire sauce, sherry, and cayenne pepper to frying pan. Cook, stirring constantly, untilcheese melts.

  3. Pile clam mixture on top of each slice of toast, and serve hot.
